How to Play — Movies
Movie charades is one of the most popular categories at game night! The trick is to break the movie title into actable parts. For one-word titles like "Jaws," mime the most iconic scene — a shark attack. For longer titles like "Star Wars," act out "star" (point to the sky) then "wars" (fighting). Most people know the standard movie gesture: mime cranking an old film camera. Use that first to signal it's a movie, then act out the title. If it's a sequel, hold up fingers for the number. Animated movies are often easier because they have iconic characters with big movements — Frozen's Let It Go pose, for example.
